Now they are on a card I wonder why I ignored them for so long! We went to The Range yesterday and I bought a few crafting goodies ) My favourite kind of shopping! I took advantage of the offer to get this:

when you bought £50 worth of Arts & Crafts Stuff. I picked up a couple of expensive things which is why it doesn't look like I got alot for my money.

but I'm happy with my purchases. I can't wait to try them out today. I wasn't feeling well when we got home yesterday (must have been the child in the sweetshop feeling I had been having *grin*) You can imagine my frustration at being surrounded by crafting bits and pieces and not feeling well enough to play. I had a nap and felt much better when I woke, but we took the dog out for a long walk and didn't get home until 9pm with aching legs and tired eyes. I was battling with the "let's have a go" and the "I'm absolutely shattered and can't move!" mind states. The I'm too tired one won.

This morning these arrived from Capture the Magic :

Aren't they just delicious?!
Oh, nearly forgot. I have made this:

The Photo doesn't do it justice, the silver holographic board never makes a good picture. I shall try to get a better one later.

Once all of the school work and normal chores were out of the way, I was able to knuckle down to some cardmaking. The weather has been great, so the children were happy to just play around in the garden, leaving me in my own little crafting world I came up with this...

and finished off the Blues and Browns Card:

The photos are rubbish so I will try to get some daylight ones tomorrow if I remember. I'm pleased that I have made the boxes as well. I do have an awful habit of just making the cards and leaving the boxes until someone has ordered it, meaning a mad dash to make the box! This is my work in progress that I started on this evening...

I have a fair idea of what I want to add to it, but am still a little undecided. I expect I will have changed my mind by tomorrow I hope tomorrow works out just as well and I can do more crafting. I'm really getting into the swing of things at the moment.

I've just got to think of some wording to put on it now. Anybody got any suggestions?

The Fairy card was made using the DCWV Floral Paper Stack . I made the base card using Stardream Pearlescent Coral (which has a peach effect to it), cut to A5 size and folded. I inked around the edges of the card using Ink It Up Metallic Copper. I cut three different but complimenting papers, each piece slightly smaller than the one before and layered them onto the card using double sided sticky tape. I left one corner free from tape so that I could roll it. I inked 4 paper roses to give a "distressed" effect, and glued them on to the corner having rolled the paper around a pencil to give a nice finish. I tore a piece of the first paper I had used in the layering, and attached it to the side of the card using DS tape. I made the tag from Stardream Card, and inked it all over to give a distressed look. I cut a circle from the same card, inked it and added a fairy picture. Once the ink was dry I added the ribbon. Using a very thin end of a paintbrush and the side of my ink pad, I "flecked" ink over the top layer of paper. (Please be careful how you do this as it can ruin your ink pad if not done carefully.)
